Overhead Switch Safeguard

I printed a bunch of these. Pm me if you want me to mail one or two to you.
All I ask is that you pay it forward and do something good for the community.
Such a nice offer! Your offer has inspired me to buy a second hand printer tomorrow. If I can figure it out and start printing some simple stuff, I’ll be happy to print stuff for people on the forum. If I can’t figure it out I’ll pass the printer on to someone (maybe to one of my many teenage kids). I’m going into this blindly, but it can’t be that hard, right? 🫣

I printed some up but wanted to see if I could incorporate a label somehow, since they cover the labels I have on the switches.

I debossed some text 1mm into the cross piece, and with a light grey filament it’s fairly legible. It’s a very small space to try to squeeze anything into. 🫤 YMMV, but this helps me for now.

Were these ever put in the store? I need one for the PWR switch. Colored would help so that it catches my eye. I'm always parting my hair (singular) when I mount our trusty steed.

Where are you at? I'm in the sf bay area and can give you a couple.
I got dark red and dark green.

This is my switch setup.
Red = master switch
blue = starlight (and also scene lights on my roof rack on a separate button)
black = my midland radio + weboost circuit.

I've moved the auxillary high power off the starter battery and onto my lithium battery so my starlink runs off my lithium but it is still controlled by the master power switch. Works super well.

Thanks for your patience, here is the 3d print file for the overhead switch guard. In the movie, you see how it works and how satisfying it clicks when opened and closed.
The switchguard consists of two parts designed to be 3d printed. Use two M2 by 10mm screws to hold them together.
Thank you for making and distributing this file! First one printed and assembled today. Made this one quickly in PLA because this is what I currently have but I will reprint in an more heat resistant material if the need arises.

My use case: make sure I don't turn off my fridge when stopped. The accidentally happened a few times over the summer.

If anyone in south Texas wants one, let me know!
