@Zenadier I have a couple extra I printed in red PETG (with tiny m10 or m20 bolts). If you DM me your address more than happy to put one in the post for you as they are just sitting next to the 3D printer currently.

Guess what? I've already communicated with another member and the switch guard is on the way. Thank you very much for the offer! Am looking forward to the 'effect'.

I looked around the forum store a bit, but did not see this item. Would've been happy to pay a few bucks. If too inexpensive to mess with on the store, they could use them as complimentary 'stocking stuffers' with other orders, or something like that. Compliments to the inventor and you 3D print folks.

It's not very accurate. I was in San Francisco a few weeks ago and the flag updated to Puerto Rico.

(Mine is too old at 27 and is less technically adept than I am).

Again, not something I would trust to work for most people if this design was provided as an STL.

Don't short change your audience. Many of us are very versed in 3d printing more complicated items than this. I still have to check the rest of the feed to see if there is a download but I would like to be able to print myself.

Agree 100%. many of us 3D print things ourselves and that allows choice in the color as well as type of print method & material: filament, resin (SLA), or powder (SLS).

Thanks for your patience, here is the 3d print file for the overhead switch guard. In the movie, you see how it works and how satisfying it clicks when opened and closed.
The switchguard consists of two parts designed to be 3d printed. Use two M2 by 10mm screws to hold them together.

The best print orientation is seen in the image. I recommend using PET (PETG, PETGHF) but it will also work in PLA as print material. It is designed so you don't need print support.

Assembly is easy.
1) Start by clipping the larger part on...

Par gifted me one of these outside of City Market while we were getting groceries during the Moab October fest. I just got around to installing it a couple of nights ago and absolutely love it!

I also installed the RRE ditch light brackets so I could run my Baja Designs Squadron pro lights. I put them on Ext 1. The switch guard came in handy when testing the wires and not wanting to fry myself.

I got the same bracket from andreas. Just got my triple-r utility 50 lights for them. I'll wire it up sometime this week, going with the NorCal crew to Hollister Hills for some off-road shenanigans..

Still hoping the one piece design makes it to the Grenadier Works store. The smoother finish of that version is much more appealing.
