Model Year 2026 (MY26) – Confirmed & Speculated Changes

Retrofitting a working HVAC to 2023 model would be great and would really get me off the hook. I get in so much trouble about why by better half has to suffer cold feet in the winter having forked out so much for a vehicle.

So I just got done looking over a 2026 at the dealer show room. Talked with sales on the vehicle this is what I came up with for information. Sales rep says I can drive it this Thursday when they are doing open house. He said he didn't really notice a steering difference but said the same as what we all already know. Less turn radius. After I take for a ride I'll provide my opinion too. But I did get some pics of the pump and lower end everything looks the same too me. He did mention HVAC has different software but overall as far as he was concerned the system is the same. He didn't have details on that either.

lol the grenadier owned in the know - not impressed by the seat back storage net “where is that fucking steering pump sticker!?”

Someone please post up a technical bulletin or a parts list already. These anecdotal dealer sales slut and YouTuber clicks told me so are worthless.

lol
I believe the picture I posted has the Ineos Part number on the pump... I'm not able to cross check right now my own pump...

New optics for 2026: The two rings are most likely due to new safety regulations, which require the DRL to be always on and to operate separately from the turn signals. Still no information regarding a new 5-piece lens element in the headlamps; this could be related to supply-chain constraints or improvements in beam performance.

So the guy pushed passed the hydraulic stop to the physical stop. I thought IA said that was not recommended.
And a 5% better turn radius doesn't sound much.

It is odd there are both hydraulic stops and physical steering stops on the Grenadier. If turning past the hydraulic stop is an issue then why are the physical stops not set to correspond to the same degree of turn as the hydraulic stops. It is more likely that the hydraulic limit acts as a soft stop to let you know your are close to full turn but then the physical stops are the actual turning limit to prevent damage to the double cardan joint at the end of the half shafts and or prevent rubbing of the tires on various components. But as has been widely disseminated here on the forum the physical stops can easily be adjust to allow for a smaller turning radius without causing any documented problems.

Yet! I'm sitting on the fence until a few heavy duty users have come through unscathed.

These articles are dumb as f**k. Many of these issues are not obvious on a short test drive at an Ineos sponsored event.. you have to live with the vehicle to appreciate its quirks and then do a reasonable a/b compare against 2026…

I have been waiting to adjust the stops myself, but will give it a try when the touring season starts in a couple of months. I plan to simply turn the nut down to the back of the bolt head. I don't feel the need to remove the nut and replace it with washers for an even tighter turning radius as is mostly commonly reported by other owners.

Who will be the first to source the new OE steering box with variable steering ratio (as reported by Motor Trend and Car & Driver) and install it in a 2025 or earlier Grenadier. This could become a popular upgrade if the change in steering is a material improvement. I can see installing the new OEM box together with the steering pump from Owl (to eliminate pump whine). I don't hate the current steering but I would welcome a better on road feel.

“Lowered the volume on the warning chimes”

What the hell? We need to get a 2026 MY, to get a more reasonable service / fuel bong!?

I love how early owners’ feedback is going to improve ownership experience for subsequent owners lol

The volume on chimes can be lowered to almost silent, on the Beautiful Early Models 😁

I have eluded to the hydraulic vs hard stops before. I believe there is a calibration for this. However my dealer said they went through what they could and didn't find it in their system. But they also said they are severely limited in what they can do by Ineos. I want to think the factory calibration is not being done or maybe not being done correctly. Maybe it's like the alignment issues where they don't have enough resources to do it.

As for the cardan joints on the axle, I have compared them to several other double cardan steer axles I own and they all steer vastly more than the Grenadier. They also all have lockers and are on vastly heavier vehicles. So I don't believe the limit is reasonable on the Grenadier and if anything is for clearance or possibly an attempt at adding a nanny feature so you can flog the truck locked with the steering full lock too.
