Letter to Lynne Calder

Here's something to upset you further... At the end of the day, Ann's constant kvetching will have done more for product and service improvements than all of a the excuse making, patronizing, swooning sycophants combined.
I think Tom's carefully considered letter and calm mature call with Lyn Calder has achieved the correct route.
No Trumpian petulant angry masturbating, which seems to be a more than occasional thing around here and on the festy swamp of various socials.
There's no point in have a hypertensive stroke or mental breakdown over a car. Unless you want to spend money at the doctors ;)

There is no US. This isn't a high school lunch room clique. She's putting it on other grenadier specific media that many here also frequent. You think there was some expectation by Calder that the interview was only going to be seen by people here? Do you think she didn't know 50k people would have 50k differing opinions on it? Most CEO's aren't weak minded, I doubt she needs your heroism.

And what do you think Ann messed up? Do you think Calder is sitting there plotting to hold back an update, or the manuals, or dealerships because she's hurt by Ann?

I bought a car, and I want the car to work right. I really don't care what someone says about it and to whom, if it gets action. It's a THING that was sold for profit. You act like you're on survivor island and your tribe is being attacked. You bought an identity.
No I

Your analogies suck, like horrible. Similar to the meatloaf sandwich severed by the hair mole lunch lady from Adam Sandler Lunch Lady video.

Kripes Annee is no longer of this Parish. In a world of FREE SPEECH, I wonder why she has been deleted.

The Forum Police must have taken a KIER STARMER marxist pill! :)
In my view if members do nothing to add value to this owners and enthusiasts forum then I can see no reason why they would be part of this site. Constructive criticism, feedback and suggestions /solutions as well as knowledge sharing and showing off our newest toys and our travels is what we all hopefully come here for. If I want white noise and irritation I can get that on Facebook or just watching a news channel. I enjoy being on this forum and love hearing about how people have modified their vehicles, the trips they’ve taken and if challenged how they overcame the obstacles. It is in the best spirit of bulletin boards, and also of historic trip journals for centuries, and I love it. Thanks everyone for your contributions and keep them flowing. 🙏🏾

I do agree - just posting to get to the truth.

As I have said before, I find this Forum depressing as people seem to want to vent their spleen. Like you I do enjoy it - when people share the positives and to be truthful we all know the negatives.

Fear not Triamaster, I enjoy your persistence! But remember:
Logsplitter went to Africa, the Globalgregors are somewhere on the Pan American highway after driving across the deserts in Australia as a shakedown before setting off to the USA and MattP is about 2 yrs into a 5yr odyssey with his Misssus and two youngsters driving his Grenadier towing a Patriot camper, currently somewhere in the vicinity of Kyrgyzstan!
All of them essentially stock standard off the showroom floor!!!
What more proof does one need?
So, it can be done ... with a bit of care and attention.
These hardy souls I celebrate.🥳👏
The rest of the "bs" niggles are "first world" problems which I am certain will be resolved in due course. Strewth: I had a RRP38 with the Thor engine for 9 years ... it became an obsession to maintain... when I drive the Grenadier I have no qualms, baring catastrophic failure, that it will get me home.
So let us cheer up and enjoy what we have!!
It's very late.. good night all!

I was getting that way with one of the threads so I stopped the notifications and started ignoring it. I know it's a silly suggestion but it works.
Do you have notification noises and vibrations on your phone, I stopped them years ago, it will ring if someone calls but that's it, i have to check when I want to see if there is emails etc. If you ring it's urgent if you don't it's not and only the landlines works 8pm-8am. I recommend this to anyone who is stressed and find all the constant negative information a drain.
And no, I'm not some happy clappy hippy type (wish I was, that would be so cool)

I’m with you there. No notifications for anything. If you need me phone and I may answer👍🏼

If this ends up in TSB's for steering pumps, prop shafts, shifting clunks, and HVAC repairs for the long term suffering afflicted, that's really awesome. Those are things any and all of the other serious car manufacturers would have handled by now. Most of the the other shit, while unforced errors, ain't that big of a deal.
Seriously! The ADAS click has a workaround.

The steering pump, HVAC issues are mysterious in nature and are embarrassing issues for the brand.

I have no steering pump whine. It is silent when driving. Slight wine when starting from stationary. The fluid is at max and it's a 2025 model.

Good! Then hopefully a relatively low cost for Ineos to fix the fleet - keep their customers happy and leave a good first impression when the general public approaches a grenadier for the first time.

You are lucky

Well I'm confused....

I have a '25 and it squeals, so I don't think they made a systemic fix, just continued luck of the draw.

God damn that sucks. Is it loud, to the point of pulling into a gas pump and having the people around you take notice?

Or more subdued than that?
I'll make a video tomorrow. When I pre inspected my QM, I asked the dealer to bleed the system. I can not confirm if they did or not but on day 1 I checked to see if the steering pump fluid was at max level. It was and again I do not have any noise.

Holy thread derailment!
But I may have done that once or twice in the past.

The evolution of the thread:

Manuals Missing, Owners Hissing → Keep Your Cupholder Complaints at Home → Survey Says: We’re Still Mad → Drafting by Committee: Herding Grenadiers → Pitchforks Polished, But Still Polite → CEO on Speed Dial (Sort Of) → Trust, But Verify (And Keep the Thread Alive)
