Sorry for this question, but I keep getting a server error when I try to search.

To keep the Lensun solar install simple for now, is there any reason I can't hook it up to the jump terminal under the hood it's going to be installed upon? I just want to make there there isn't something I'm not seeing.

Can’t see why that wouldn’t work. I used to have my portable solar panels and and my trickle charger connected to the jump start post as required. I now have a trickle charger and solar controller installed at the battery box.

That's how I did my Gwagon. Love not having to worry about a dead battery

Yes, you can hook it to the jump start terminal.

That terminal is a direct connection to the battery. It's a standard and safe practice for connecting accessories like solar chargers. Just make sure your connections are secure.

Can't see why not. Certainly easier than going through the firewall back to the batteries, which I did. Mine's wired to a CTEK 250 and have a 50L Dometic wired to the aux battery. Last weekend was a test that put my mind at ease - 3 days, not starting the engine while camping, in and out of the doors regularly and both batteries were just fine.

Did you note the head unit SoC after the 3-days with fridge but no driving?

Unfortunately I didn't but I just pulled this graph from the two battery monitors I have. Red is the starter battery and green is the auxiliary battery. I guess not 3 days, parked around noon on 10/3 and fired back up around noon 10/5. The solar panel did a good job keeping up with my fridge.
