We've been looking at Grenadiers to buy and have found a possible option. I rang my insurers to get an idea of the cost and there was an intake of breath and was told they would have to go and ask but with a warning 'it's likely to be expensive'.

I appreciate everyone's circumstances are different and so figures don't mean much, but did anyone in the UK find that insuring their Grenadier was unduly expensive or was it much as you expected given the cost of the car?

Just renewed mine today with NFU,
Fieldmaster for £1000. All car 🚗 insurance has gone up this year.

For me, it was more expensive than the Defender Puma that it replaced, but cheaper than the Range Rover we got rid of the same year.

Admiral £862.94 (just a few months ago) and that includes my 24 year old daughter. That is without multi-car. With multicar, its share was £796.88
Without my daughter, the cheapest was £424.33

I have my truck 8 months now. I was with Amica Insurance for well over 12 years. When my truck arrived, I called Amica to add the policy to my purchase. They told me that I have a grey market car and they would not write it. A broker wrote to me and I gave him permission and all info he requested. I got one of the most famous companies in the US for a year policy with my other cars. I saved immediately almost $1000.00 just by shopping. I spoke to Amica since they consistently beg me to go back. I was told last week that my Grenadier was still considered grey market. I told them to fk-off.

I had to have a tracker installed but I use it for business mileage but also have restricted mileage to about 16 or 18,000 miles and it was around the £800 with LV on multi car of 4 vehicles.
