Hello,

A few days ago my infotainment system froze while driving and the speakers emitted a terribly loud bass and treble constant tone, vibrating the speakers. I shut the ignition off but the sound continued for about 10 minutes before ending. I restarted the car and everything seemed back to normal and the infotainment system unfrozen.

That night is when I first noticed the heating system was newly weak and highly unreliable, which issue has continued since.

I had another infotainment system freeze while driving and I held the mute button down to reset after which the odometer reappeared saying “-0-0-0-0-“ and came back to the real value after restart.

Now I am experiencing an issue saying that the off-road mode button is defective, which error does not go away after restart.

I am assuming this string of issues is related to a firmware issue or at worst a wiring problem, but I’m wondering if anyone has experience with a series of problems like this?

I have an appointment to look at the HVAC system originally, but now wondering what to have them look at with so many issues.

I’m 2.5 weeks into ownership and currently in far northern Sweden planning on continuing further north but worrying worse problems await me and that I’ve bought a total lemon…

Hard reboot the head unit. See if that fixes anything, it has worked in other cases. At least you can do this yourself.

Also download a copy of the Rok Dr Guide here.

The reset procedure is set out in paragraph 15.1 of the Rok Dr Guide and also here:
