IG Owners - What did you come from, and what do you think?

I must be the outlier here :) Coming from a Porsche Macan GTS, can't really compare as they are two different vehicles. The Macan is fantastic to drive, lots of creature comforts, but I wanted a fun winter and off-road vehicle as I have a Cayman S for the summer fun and track stuff.
Looking forward to overlanding and camping in the Rockies.

New IG Ordered and being PDI this week ordered to SPEC and very close to old one except front and rear lockers snorkel and winch, this is what I should have shown up 2.5 years ago long story, I was one of the first UK buyers to get the IG

I have been using a Defender 90 last few months 2009 model and whilst its iconic and not to offend the LRO world will be looking forward to getting back into a IG. Its a land rover thing I know and people love them. The IG is a different animal in every respect

I've had a long line of solid axle 4x4s for 30 plus years and prefer the old school pre mid 1990s trucks with actual selectors, knobs and switches.

The Grenadier was a no brainer for me and as close as I will get to those vehicles. I love it.

I traded in a custom build 2004 Dodge Dakota for my Quartermaster, so far in all reality it has been a lateral move for me in a lot of ways.
the upside is my new truck doesn't smell like an ashtray (yet) and is 100% reliable, the old Goat was starting to show it's age and quite frankly I was tired of working on it, 22 years as a low millage daily driver had started to take it's toll, not to mention the never ending rust.
shameless plug for my Youtube
the first video is mostly me being bitter, and sad
