But I do have the stock PWR and EXT 1 switches...

I put a very small grommet in the plastic panel behind the front exterior grab handle and ran a couple of wires through the grommet with plenty of sealant. There is a flat bit on the that plastic panel, guessing for the OEM roof socket.

A bit tricky to get to the inside, taking off the interior grab handle and mounting fascia for the cargo guard gives limited access.

Wiring can be tucked behind the B or C pillar trim easily enough.

FYI, Ext1 is only 10a if you’re going to use it for the light bar.

For routing:
Take off the load bar panel and you should two see holes behind where it mounts to the roof, with direct access to the headliner. You should be able to run it from the engine bay, through firewall, up the A pillar to the headliner and fish access through the grab bar panel. Sideburn like mentioned above and you’re in business.

Hi Jeff,
I had the same issue and wired my quartermaster this past week. I used the ext 1 switch (10 amps) to trigger a 50amp Fastronix relay under the hood. I have the Ineos lightbar that pulls 25amps so used a 50amp relay. The ext 1 wires are under the hood on the left had side. Once you find those wires extend them with heat shrink butt connectors and 12 gauge wire to the relay. You will need a fused connector between the buss bar post and the relay. I ran the cable from the engine compartment along the frame/ I have a quartermaster, so it was easy to run the cable between the cab and the tub, up the loadbars to the roof. Good luck. BTW - I saw you are in Olympia, I'm in Tacoma if you want to see how it is all wired.

One last idea, for a non-quartermaster owner. You might consider running the wire inside the raised air intake to route it to the roof cleanly. For aux lights, there are some really good options like Baja Designs LP9s that can be mounted on the bumper. That makes it even easier to wire cleanly. Good luck.

I’ll just restate that once you remove the roof tie down panel you can just see the headliner through the access holes. There are multiple paths up the pillars to feed them.

I have all the options in my Fieldmaster except for the High Load Auxiliary Switch Panel & Roof Outlets. I did not preorder, and it was the only color that I liked that had all the options that I wanted available when I bought it. I feel sorry that I don't have it. But should I really feel bad that I don't have it?
Or any other recent solution for this remorse? Let's keep the thread going, please.

I haven’t seen any other solutions yet. If you want something similar you can go the Agile switch pros route and use their side burn covers or order a stock cover. It’s just plastic to drill out and there is a visible circle where the knockout would be. Not complicated. Another option I haven’t seen done is drill out the factory panel and use some toggle switches and run a loom of wires down to a fuse block under the pass seat. Not sure how much space is above the panel.

My original order had the aux switch panel but the one my wife bought as a surprise didn’t. No remorse as I still haven’t used the stock Ext1 and Int1&2 switches.

Thanks for the input. Makes me feel a bit better. There were other Grenadiers with that option when I got mine, but I had to choose the one with the most option I preferred. At least I didn’t have to wait and saved money on the 2025 model.
