This shows the difference between petrol and diesel, I towed a heavy car to a classic car event and close to the maximum 3.5 tonne weight limit, I recorded 14.4, 14.7 and 14.8 MPG on the 3 fill ups..... I had a long day towing last week and the trip indicated 22.6mpg, which is similar to the old L322 Range Rover.
On Monday, a 170 mile round trip produced something of a high score:

Not that one, a Silver Ghost to Heveningham Hall Concours weekend in Suffolk in July, about 470 miles round trip, pulled it well!
