I officially picked up my QM today. The dealer never got my Canvas cover on and the roof was never wrapped black but we will get that taken care of soon.

Here is my quick hot takes
* no steering whine at all, quiet when idling and quiet when driving. I had the windows open and heard nothing. The only slight whine came from sitting stationary and turning the wheel. I don't know if they changed pump or went with the 202 fluid that replaced 11 for our steering pump.

* The side mirrors, no issues with blind spots. I have Suma sitting in house but I am going to need to compare as the side mirrors now have a super wide view.

*Return to center. The longer wheelbase seems to help with return to center. You still need to turn it back but it already turns half way for you. I tried tight rotaries and that will take some work. I need to start wider to do a 360.

* Super quiet, I mean really quiet. I think not having the rear made it super quiet

Congrats on your new QM!!! My QM drives better than the wagons I drove as test drives. I do think the longer wheel base makes a difference. Mine is a 24 model, and get a slight whine of the steering pump, and AC compressor. Can't hear with windows up. The longer wheel base makes the car seem lower, as it is wide also. Might look into larger tyres, and a slight lift in the future.

Monday, I add 255/80r17 Wildpeak At4w. Wednesday I put on Radflo resovior shocks.

Good luck with the canvas cover, fingers crossed! Should you ever want to install a Wolfbox or rear work light on the tailgate or rear bumper, or an interior ceiling light on the bed, you might wish to lay the cable between cabin and truck bed before the dealer installs the canvas cover (or ask the dealer to do it when they mount the structure for the cover).. It is more difficult I am told with the canvas cover or plastic truck bed tub already in place.

Congratulations with the QM, grear to read!

We will have to check the power steering pump with the dealer, it makes a lot of noise...

I'm debating with myself on which tire size to buy a extra "mud" set in 285/75r17 or 255/80r17
Would love to see pictures with these on!

What are the pros/cons for those 2 options, as you see it?

I have the feeling that 34" tires are the best compromise for a stock Ineos (wet portal axel dreams beside 😬)

That's why I would like 285/75r17 on mine, for overland/offroad duty.

255/80r17 would be the same logic, as high as possible but without sacrificing to much range.

In what scenarios do the narrower tire work better? Do you think one is better for road handling? Snow/mud?

Narrow tires do perform better in snow unless it's deep, in the rocks as airing down gives a greater contact patch. In the mud, it slices through. In the rain less hydro planing.

That might be what I do for my next set - so 255/80/17? Being in WI, mud is the deal when I go offroad for fly fishing, but I also want them to be decent offroad. For winter, I’m going to stick with the dedicated snow tires. They were fantastic this last winter

I'm doing 255/80r17 Falken Wildpeak AT4W. You get a true 33 tire that is 10.5 width. You can get a 34 from Mickey Thompson Baja AT that is a 34 which is 255/85r17. Both for with no rubbing. The Mickey are a inch wider. My QM is a daily driver and I do have to park in underground garages which limits how high I can lift it. The garage I park in Seattle is 6'9. I am at 6'7 with the current set up of the OEM duellers.

I will keep the stock size KO2's for daily use, love these for the intended use.

Steel wheels and mut for weekend fun 😇
