I currently have a Jeep Wrangler JLU. I joined this forum as I have been interested in the Grenadier Wagon for a while. I will test drive one on Sunday. I am looking at a base model with the off road options. On paper, minus the new company risks, this looks to be the most solid vehicle on the market. I am also looking at the GX550 Trailmaster.

Two questions, with a Wrangler, I am well aware of the perils of the flat windshield. I am on windscreen #4 now. Am I looking at replacements?

Regarding the "Rough Pack".. is this something that comes from the factory? Can the dealer install it? I am looking at quite a few used vehicles at my local dealer with low miles. Some of them don't have the lockers enabled. I am curious is this is a situation where the hardware is in place, and the dealer can install the switches to "turn them up".. or, of the Rough Pack is actually a different build from the factory. Any insights here?

I may end up ordering a new one, as I want the Rough Pack, and I do not want the Safari Windows.

Windshields... yes, they are a point of contention with the Grenadier... probably more so than your Wrangler

Rough pack is factory installed only; but you don't need the rough pack for the F/R axle lockers, those can be ordered without the "rough pack" (which is F/R axle lockers and BFG KO2s). The axle housing is different on the vehicles that have the lockers.

If you're willing to expand your search beyond your local dealer, you'll almost certainly find what you're looking for

Thank you for the response! I found quite a bit on info on windshields and lockers doing some simple searches in the forums. Should have done that first!
Lockers and heated seats (for the spouse) are the deal breakers. I will have a good look.
