Hey everyone!

After months of lurking and research, I finally pulled the trigger—my ’24 Grenadier Trialmaster in Sterling Silver will be in my driveway this Saturday. The energy in this forum sealed the deal for me: a knowledgeable, welcoming, and downright passionate crew already pushing the platform forward (and keeping newcomers like me honest). Even the occasional headache thread just reminds me I’ll have plenty of support when gremlins appear.

I cross-shopped a few “off-road icons,” but nothing felt as purpose-built or as solid as the Grenadier. The learning curve is real, though, so I spun up a CustomGPT that combs through manuals and tech specs. If you’ve got a minute, give it a whirl and let me know if it’s actually helpful or needs a tune-up.

To everyone wrestling with issues right now, I hope sharp minds here help you land solid fixes soon. Looking forward to wrenching, wheeling, and learning with all of you!

Sorry about the link not working. I didn't see my post yesterday after I posted it and disabled the link until I was going to post again. The link is now active.

The GPT (linked) has worked pretty well for me in better understanding how to hook up a DJI Super Fast Car Charger, DJI Power 1000 battery pack, and a DC-to-DC charger, in order to tie the starter and aux batteries together with the DJI setup. Since I have it already and the inverter is pretty robust (2200W / 4400W peak) will be interesting to see how it works out.

Welcome to the Grenadier! I'm in the Palisades so it's nice to see another Westsider.
Yeah - you guys in the wilderness of Calabasas and Newport Beach are an inspiration to the rest of us. It’s amazing to see the ingenuity of the human race surviving and adapting in those extreme conditions.

Welcome....I love my Grenny.......and being a new owner, you will appreciate the analogue build....with its idiosyncrasies.

Did you pick it up?
I did and I love it!

From what I’ve read on the forums, and based on my own experience, the steering feels surprisingly stable even on the 110, 405, and 10 freeways. The Grenadier’s weight gives it a very different feel compared to my old Acura MDX. Speaking of which, the MDX averaged 14.1 MPG, while the Grenadier is getting 17.1 MPG, according to the trip computer.

I’m getting some gear together for its first off-road trip to the Eastern Sierra soon.

The only downside? My poor wallet! I’ve been picking up a few upgrades, even though I don’t have any issues with the steering. I’ll be installing a Fox Factory Race Series 2.0 ATS Steering Stabilizer this weekend. I also just got the Wolfbox G900 Tripro (front bumper version can’t wait to get a clearer view from the back and the front.

Cosmetically, I added Xpel XR Plus tint to the front windows for a darker look. My Trialmaster already came with privacy glass from the B-pillar back, so I didn’t tint those factory privacy glass specs are solid: 20% visible light transmission, blocks 96% of UV and 95% of IR (though the meter reads at 940nm, so I’m not 100% sure about other wavelengths).

Getting the XR plus added later on this month. I got the racing optics windshield defense for stone protection. Two person job to lay the shield on but super clear optics.

That's good to know. I have that arriving this week. Thought I could put it on by myself, but maybe will have to enlist some help.

I used my next door neighbor. It was easy, I did screw up the initial as I don't let windshield cool down prior trying to install it. If I was to do it again, I would do it early in morning and in the garage.
