Headspace roof conversion!

The video also says they are working on water tanks, under the IG. 90 litres each side, giving a massive 180 litres in total.

Wow, that is well done. I feel like he is the same guy featured in AWSP Danica video. His Danica is outfitted inside is nice. He should just done the Grenadier.

I was planning to have the Alucab conversion installed, but I like the Headspace conversion so much more. If I can get one delivered to the US this will be going on my rig.

We thought about waiting for Headspace when we were investigating RTT vendors for the Ineos platform and our primary concern was elimination of the B pillars, a much more limited roof mount system for solar etc. and the increased complexity surrounding any roof mounted switch panel relocation.

This becomes even worse if you’re going through this insanity outside of AUS and the installation firm has a sample size of zero concerning prior installs

TLDR: I definitely don’t regret going with Alu-Cab at this point.

Vaild concerns but in practice I don't think installation of the Headspace conversion will be that much different than the Alucab model. I have pulled down the overhead switch panel from my headliner and there is nothing complicated about the wiring up there. Transferring it to the roof conversion will be dead easy. Solar will simply be a semi flexible panel attached to the slick roof using either VHB or adhesive. I have no need for any other roof mounted accessories. The Alubcab model is great, but the low profile (will fit in my garage), light weight (80 pounds less than Alucab) and available color matching of the Headspace make it my choice.

Also worth throwing out there from personal experience -

How high is your confidence level when it comes to shipping a product of this scale from AUS into the US ( today ) without damage when you don’t have a US side distributor to work with? Definitely something to think about for anyone outside of AUS in my opinion…

For sure a concern. I am hoping Headspace partners with a US importer so they can send them over in batches via container. The US is the number one Grenadier market by a wide margin so this is motivation for Headspace to make sales to the US as simple as possible otherwise their potential sales volume will be quite limited. Either way it is a risk I am willing to take.
