Have random errors reduced in frequency, do you feel confident for the long run?

Driving along today and realised I don't get constant warning errors anymore, except for high tyre pressure on a warm day but that goes when cooled down. It's not the constant anxiety of warning lights popping up. An error pops up occasionally for PDC and the ecall once in about 12 months. Mine is an early 2023 model and, dare I say it, seems to be ok for a modern vehicle covered in sensors.
INEOS Automotive seem to be in a positive mood for now, world economy permitting, only concern for the long term owners is the propshaft which we now seem to have solved by the aftermarket via @Sven
HVAC is not the best but can work with perseverance via the dealer and use.
Steering, don't know what the fuss is about, maybe some were set up wrong from factory but easy to drive at speed in a straight line, the rest is quickly natural to use.
Do I wish I went for the Toyota, sometimes because of availability of parts and dealerships. More so with our local Ineos dealer giving up but then hopefully the one i have to travel to will be better, so far they do seem to be an improvement.
All things considered, I think they are getting there with all the updates.
I have been lucky having had a dealer 30mins/11miles away for a long time so could easily pop in and get updates and recalls done whereas a lot of you are only going once a year, if that, due to distances that we can't comprehend in the UK.

How are you all finding it, new and old vehicles?
 
I get in my MY23 and drive it like any other vehicle. My lizard engineer brain is naturally risk-adverse so I do have a CV kit that I pack for trips when I am going to be far from support or recovery at least until the long term durability is better understood. That's just trip prep. Toyota guys pack an alternator.
Everything has normalised for me and I'm enjoying the vehicle.

I cant speak for the rest of the world but it will become increasingly difficult for Australian customers to get diesel powered vehicles given our government has a sin tax on emissions that will continue to increase and manufacturers can only claim credits against this by selling more fuel efficient or ev CARS.

given Ineos doesnt produce smaller units to offset the grenadier sales this is going to put them on the back foot, its already beginning to effecting ford who sell a lot more larger cars than small. iam not that bothered with the longer term viability re grenadiers as i have tractors that are no longer supported by the vendor however 3rd parties have picked up the slack. i would imagine this would be the case with grenadiers if they were to fold. also the biggest car company in australias history holden folded recently, GM who was the owner at the time committed to 10 years supprort,

its also the reason why i purchased a car now as its still viable.

who knows what things will be like in a few years??

Uk government have similar daft ideas that will stop the sale of 100% only internal combustion engines by 2030. Hopefully we will have a change of government by then with one that will reverse this. European countries are already going pushing back these ridiculous targets.
Worry of not being supported, against your tractors, is damaged bodywork. Uk was never going to be a big market for them, rest of world needs to keep them being produced.

sometimes i enjoy a drink or 2,

i suspect my adherance to living in peace today hinders my ability to live at peace in the future, but hey thats a bit to philosophical to ponder so maybe i simply have another drink!


back on subject i know people who have parked up 200 series toyos for when their current bus gets retired as they dont like the 300s!

Have you reset both tyre pressure settings? I used to get the issue when it was warm weather, but after setting both of them and not just the TPMS, I haven't had one since.

The last software update made a big difference to false positives. The removal of the fuel bong when it went amber was nice.
The only one I get now is when I stopped the car. Turn the engine off, but don't get out of the car. If I restart the engine, I get a false positive amber for ESC. However, if I open the door and close it again before restarting the car I don't get the false positive.

I just need better service from the dealer who has been truly awful over the last two years.

I generally agree that most things have been ironed out on the Grenadier and everything works. So I’m at peace until the next thing that happens, you never know. The inconvenience of 1 and 1/2 drive to the dealers. Length of some warranty claims and the time it takes to get parts bothers me, then I have to drive back all the way to get it fixed. Good job I have a second car. Small things like my gutter trim is rusty and still waiting for authorisation. Nearly had a MOT failure this week because I had a front drivers coil spring fractured/broken and the centre reverse light was broken. Good job my dealer had a spare so very thankful of them. No sound, no sagging and unnoticeable unless you have the car up in the air. Who would have thought, 18k miles and no off roading. No software updates this time servicing. I’m surprised they didn’t change my door locks, I thought there was a recall. TBH, not really bothered.

I also carry a battery pack in the boot for back up but the Grenadier so far starts every time and never let me down.
 
Which dealer?
Busseys in Attleborough. I know they have had staff issues, but mine has been in 3-4 times for various fixes and still not fixed. In each case, they didn't even try to fix the issues, as the person with the information on what needed to be done had left or was off, or they got my vehicle mixed up with another.
