Hard braking pull

Has anyone experienced a hard pull to the front driver's side under hard braking, particularly if your truck has a lift? Ineos is suggesting this is par for the course based on suspension design, especially if the vehicle has a lift kit. It's pretty scary, especially the 1st time when not expecting it.

Straight line braking on dry pavement? Hard braking as in ABS activation?

I’ve been pretty easy on my brakes so far but I’m curious now

Straight line on pavement. Ineos is replacing the front calipers and pads. Left front had heavy wear compared to the others. They're not sure of the cause currently.

I have absolutely have this. Happens after a long hour or two drive. Hard emergency braking makes it pull hard. So much that it would change lanes quickly. You can resolve it by braking very hard a few times. It will come back next time you take a long road trip. Ineos says everything is fine and they couldn't duplicate. They did bleed my brakes since they had replaced a brake line early on. They thought may e there was some residual air. I thought it helped at first but the condition came back again.

Super sketchy and not even remotely safe. Interested if anyone else finds this issue.

Oh and just a note, it happened before and after lifting.

Maybe bad caliper with sticky piston(s). It would be good to see/test that caliper.

Mine does this under hard braking but its controllable. I also noticed it on both of the loaners I had when in for service. Those are bone stock and mine is lifted.

There were two instances of hard braking that caused a large red light to come on under the windshield,
but no major issues.
The car has never been lifted and I received it in October '24.

So there are 3 cases, all in the USA? I have not had this but also no long travels.
Does the body roll when this occurs?
Have anyone stopped and checked if there is lots of heat in the front brakes? Don't touch the caliper, just feel the radiation or touch the wheel.

It's not air in the system. That will cause soft pedal and/or long pedal travel.

Dealer checked temps. Ineos said all were good.

Truck is controllable if you're prepared for it.

Sadly many will never notice this defect if they dont hammer the brakes at speed.

The body rolls a bit like you're changing lanes. It exacerbates the already squirrely nature of the Grenadier at higher speeds.

I will have them tear into it more when I take it in for the door handle recall.

Spent most of the day at the dealer getting new front pads, rotors and calipers along with a bleed (also replaced failed front pinon seal along with install of ARB diff breathers). On the drive home the same pull to the left occurred. Very noticeable and very hard braking was not required to make it happen. Bummer. I will follow up with them tomorrow. I have no idea yet, but it seems possible that some sort of computer brake setting(s) or module may be askew.

Hi, my name is Steve from Los Angeles California and I bought my grenadier on August 31 2025 and after the 800 mile break-in, I was driving normal speed on the freeway and when I brake hard because somebody signed a race on front of me it went to the right about one lane and then I experimented with it and sometimes it would go to the left and right as if the brake fluid was going to different brake calipers left and right And then I would try it again and then it would break left so I took it into the dealer at Rusnak Pasadena and they said they couldn’t find anything, that It drove normal and that if it pull or left or right a little bit that’s considered normal for this vehicle. I told him that I’ve owned Over 60 vehicles in my life and I’ve never had a vehicle like this, but they claimed the technicians test dove it that they couldn’t just climb on the brakes on the freeway so they found wrong.so then I went onto a forum and I found that somebody else took their grenadier to a outside shop and had the alignment checked and it wasn’t correct and also that it could be that they need to put it on the brake calibrator and make sure that’s working properly as well so I want to take it back to the dealer again at Rusnak Pasadena and see if they’ll try it again and put it on the alignment machine and whatever machine they have to check the brakes because it seems like the brake fluid is not going to them evenly. Who knows maybe there’s air in line that needs to be blood out like yours. So now today September 30 I’ve owned it for a month and for the last two weeks I’m dealing with breaking issues every time I go to work and it’s dangerous. I let air out of the tires down to lower tire pressure recommended on the door for three people and a load and I did get a little bit better because it tries a little more sluggish so you don’t notice how it wants to left or right, but when the air is high when I got the vehicle, it’s even worse

My truck used to pull left under hard braking - not terribly, but enough to tug on the steering wheel. After the front brake pad replacement and rotor resurfacing, it doesn't do it anymore.

As a side comment... One has to be a Faulkner to write a 136-word sentence :)

I should have followed up on this previously. Although I found it unlikely, I agreed to let the dealer (Mossy in San Diego), perform a factory alignment, at their suggestion. I felt it was probably not necessary since Agile had aligned it during the lift and suspension upgrade, and it tracked straight during normal driving. At the same time, I also had Mossy calibrate the front camera since ESC was activating more often than it had prior to the lift. Mossy reported that the prior alignment settings were pretty far off and made corrections. Since then, the hard braking pull has virtually disappeared. I am now a happy camper.
