Happiness Thread

A lot of times I travelled with my Defender 130 to the Higlands.
Went up to the north-eastern edge, Durness.
Made friends with a Landrover enthusiast there and slept very well in the dunes., next to the military radio tower.
Met a lot of open minded people over the truck.
Hope it will be similar with the Grenadier!
We are planning to take our Grenadier to the Higlands too and to visite our friends e.g. in Edinburgh,

Regards

I have posted this before but it is timely to bring it back because I have never spoken of it's origin.
It is a poem written before I received my Grenadier and came to me from watching, listening and reading everything I could like man possessed about The Grenadier, the Guards, the cyclist team and I throw in the vehicle.
It was a whirlwind of excitement to be so close to something I was falling for and not really needing but don't let that get in the way of a life changing moment, when you pick up your own Grenadier.
Boys and toys, man and machine say what you will but the truth is, the poem is about The Grenadier and what you make of it, a machine, a Warrior, a toy.
The Grenadier is my release to freedom in so many ways, I thank Sir Jim for that and would loved to say that face to face, maybe one day. A Grenadier poem copy.jpg
