Grenadier Spotted

Look what I spotted on the gumball 3000 rally!!! Nice support ride there.

Was out for breakfast with my daughter on a patio at the pancake house last Saturday and saw a Donnie Gray Grenadier without a rail, slow rolling past my Donnie Gray that was parked. My daughter was very embarrassed when I started trying to wave at him frantically. It looked like I was having a seizure.

I saw this beauty in a small village in Belgium today, pity I didn't meet the owner ...

You can notice that he lost a reflector of the rear bumper. If he is a forum member, I have a spare for him.

Dear Jean-
If you still have the reflector you might also want to share it directly with Sir Jim in Iceland
LOL

Only if he is a forum member :ROFLMAO:

Shall I ask him if he needs one too? 😉 But seriously. He knows the forum.

I guess he means the "new" Defender, because the Old Defender is his father 🤔 :ROFLMAO:

For a small village that is a large car park!
Not sure I'd be a Grenadier owner in the UK/ Europe, being someone who prefers small backroads to motorways.
And I've parked in some very tight hotel/B&B spots as well.

You get used to the small roads in UK, it's the potholes that are a killer, which is why you 'need' a Grenadier, honestly, I assured the wife

It's the tourists that scare the hell outta me , in their campervans on roafs wholly inappropriate for them.
My wife has been frequently using the FFS! expression.
In a hire car with a 2,200 GBP insurance excess I'm not keen to touch the hedgerows or soft verges, many with steep dropoffs.
As a note I've driven the back roads in UK and Euro for 10s of 1000s of miles over the years. Drivers are getting worse and vehicles bigger and bigger. Roads remain narrow!

In UK I deliberately seek out the small, narrow streets. I love the byways. And I never feel like a tourist. Instead, I feel like an explorer and appreciate the openness and friendliness of the people.
