Hi
does anyone knows if there will be an extra fuel tank for grenadier? 90 l seems to be very small for long distance trail
thks

Hi Paulo22,

From what I've heard upto now the answer is no, this isn't to say this won't be looked at later down the line for certain markets possibly??

For now I think it's about either using the utility belts and the optional Jerry can mount for the roof rack.

@Paulo22 I think the petrol versions will have the space where the adblue tanks are located in the diesel version for maybe another 10 gallons. I believe there is space in the driver side frame rails for another 15 gallons. But the after market players like Long Ranger or Brown Davis will need to step up. There is no official option from Ineos

If you happen to be in the United States the IG petrol will come with a 100 liter tank (26.4 gallons).  I'm not sure if it's the same in Canada.

This is great - and will negate the need to carry extra fuel for most American owners. I can only think of one place I go somewhat regularly where I would need to carry a little extra. Just for reference (all gas engines):

Jeep Gladiator (2020-present) has an 84-liter tank (22 U.S. gallons)
3rd Gen Tacoma (2017-present) has an 80-liter tank (21.1 U.S. gallons)
Jeep JL Wrangler (2018-present) has an 82-liter tank (21.5 U.S. gallons)
Ford Bronco (2021-present) has a 68-liter tank (17.9 U.S. gallons)

Does anyone know if the Diesel fuel filler allows you to fill up using truck diesel fillers? In Australia they are called HIGH FLOW bowsers.
Usually 4x4 have the larger filler necks to allow the larger high flow fillers - however not all 4x4's have that ability.

I read recently that high flow diesel pumps might not be quite as "precise" as the slower pumps and therefore you may end up paying "more for less"....

It is a legal requirement in Australia that the fuel pumps have to be + or - 0.3% accurate. They have to be tested and calibrated regularly and can be randomly audited by the authorities at any time with a fine of up to $210K if found to be intentionally tampered with.

I didn't measure it but it looked like it could take a high flow when I saw the PTO the other week.

Correction to the Ford Bronco Fuel Tank Size:
  • Bronco (2-Door) - 16.8 US gallons / 63.59 liters
  • Bronco (4-Door) - 20.8 US gallons / 78.73 liters
Accordingly, the range on the 4-door Bronco is approximately 400 miles.

I know this post is six months old, but is there any truth to this? The US brochure still shows 90L/23.7US gallons.

For those with range anxiety , just wait for the pickup version - and voila!
Or as us Aussies never say , pas de probleme :giggle:

I doubt it, I don't see any reason to have a separate Americas fuel tank vs. the rest of the world. Additionally, nothing has been said about a different tank for the Americas

That was exactly my point. It would be very odd to have a different setup for something that can be universal - regardless of National/regional regulations.

whats the payload on that G60 because he's got over a ton on in jerrycans alone....
That's Jocko's D Max helping the other boys out. But only the red cans are for the G60. Which has an added Landcruiser 80 series tank.
They didn't say the G60 carried all its own petrol ;) Or indeed water...
