FrontRunner bed rack install

Ok, following on my thread about the side L tracks, I received the FrontRunner kit to install their slim rack above the Quartermaster bed.
I had some doubts during install on strength and how the feet attach to the L track, we’ll see with time.

After the rack install:

I tried to re-install the spare tire holder, it nearly fits but… no, it cannot. The spare wheel on the other, nearly fits as well and probably can survive there, I just need to find a proper way to secure it. Without the holder, I also had to say goodbye to the lock box in the middle:

And here is the result, no bad at all. Tomorrow I will fit the foldable tent on top of this!

If you don't have the L tracks, how is the Slimline rack supposed to attach to the bed?

Then I guess you’d need to bolt the feet directly to the bed, and I don’t know whether the original holes are aligned with the location of the feet. So easy with the L track. I spent last summer camping with the tent on the rack and no issues (2 adults + 1 kid).
