Forum discount on parts?

Had anyone tried to scope out a parts discount for the forum? I bet there is an opportunity for a dealer around the UK to offer up something. Or even a formal arrangement with Ineos itself?

Just wondering if this has been explored in the past, my searching on the forum didn't bring up anything

I wonder what incentive the dealers would have to offer a discount, with so few dealers and no competition. I wonder how much they make on the parts they do sell.

Given how few and how far apart they are, having a good supply of parts to your door may help?

I can't imagine dealers are making a huge wad of cash in service, given they likely see one car a week on average (?), assuming they are averaging 1 car a month in new sales. It's going to be a while before the service appointments get hammered.

Being a member here may already imply some level of awareness of the vehicle, which should come with a higher level of confidence in doing things right.

I don’t know about other dealers But Compass automotive in Bridgewater are very busy with servicing and pdi’s So much so they need another technician I understand. Sales also are going well I hear.
I’m all up for getting cheaper parts and hopefully one day we’ll see more pattern parts becoming available as demand builds.
