Fire extinguisher

I think I'm more likely to be needed outside than inside, so I prefer to mount it on a quick release so it's accessible without having to open a door.

Mine came mounted from the factory in the passenger footwell. I was concerned about it intruding in your foot space and be awkward- but it doesn't seem to really get in the way it works great there.

Just revisiting this thread after doing my workshop/vehicle/van routine maintenance checks.
I have several powder type extinguishers (all my classic cars and 2 in the Ineos , 2 in the workshop etc) - may upgrade to newer types in due course. Just bought a big home solar battery , so a bit poor!
But for now every few months I take the FEs out , check the gauges and give them a few decent taps with a rubber mallet to loosen up the powder.
If they sit , like aerosol paint cans they lose capacity when you need it most.
