I ordered my 2-seater Grenadier in October 2022 and did not take the dual battery option (714 € at that time) nor the additional power outlets (214 €). I opted out of OEM dual battery because I did no want to buy a pig in a poke. Well, we all know now what was delivered…
After 2 years of ownership, I decided to install my own dual battery system. So at least I can run a fridge w/o worrying to run the start battery flat. There is also a small Stedi lightbar mounted on the roof and connected to EXT3.
Charger: For the DCDC I bought a Victron Orion-TR Smart with 30A, which also has Bluetooth to monitor the function. 150 €.
Cables and fuses: Wiring the 60A and 80A circuits was done with 10 mm² (AWG 8). I bought the cables preconfigured, e.g. M5 (fuse side) and M8 (battery side). The fuses are MIDI. Total 90 €.
Brackets: Aluminum. Cut, bend, drill, screw. Also, a threaded rod to extend an existing bolt. 20 €
Total of the project was around 450 €.
Mechanically: For my capabilities and equipment, I am quite satisfied. No rattling. OK, not made for 1000 of miles corrugated roads, but here in Europe we have potholes only

Electrically: Works as designed, at least that is what both apps (Victron & Redodo) tell me.
Improvements: I’ll move the 80A MIDI fuse housing inside the 5-stud Littlefuse box. Position 5 is empty anyway and it will look neater. But I need a slightly longer cable

What I really wanted was a Bluetooth monitoring system and a BMS that stops charging at temperatures below 0 °C.
