Hello,

my central locking doesn‘t work as the rear doors often (too often!!!!) are not recognized as closed. If the issue occurs, I try to close it multiple times until I see it also closed on the central display. It might relate to the software/sensor issues, but I still hope somebody in the forum knows a solution. Thx.

Possibly just needs a little bit of adjustment on the door catch, to make sure it is pulled shut?

I had the same for a while, the adjusters are black cone things at the top and bottom of the big door.
You will need a torx driver to loosen them and then it is trial and error to get the door to close and line up the sensors.

Just a reminder about central locking not working!
Should have read the manual I guess.

Showed a guy at work around the car today , including the engine.
Obviously didn't shut the bonnet properly.
THAT is why the car wouldn't lock with the fob (either fob) when I got home.
Silly me! Took a bit of head scratching.
But just in case you get the same problem....

You may laugh @DaveB , but it's not mentioned in the owner's manual.
You'll find your vehicle has some unique quirks. It's definitely got some old Defender bits hidden away inside!

Curious what adjustments you were able to make to the sensors. I loosened up the torx screws and the sensor still seems fixed.

I don’t think those cone things on the back door are sensors. I’ve had to adjust my rear doors a couple of times as really rough roads have shaken things up a bit. Have had occasions where I had a warning saying back doors are open and twice I couldn’t lock the vehicle as door catches needed adjusting. There are no wires attached to those cones. I’m guessing they are just there to help locate the doors especially as hinges wear and doors sag. I think any sensor to say door is open is attached to the latches somewhere. Happy to be corrected 👍🏼

Hi Logsplitter , i don't think they are the sensors either they are not wired to anything. The sensors appear to be what they slot into, but they aren't adjustable as far as i can see

From my experience you just have to make sure that the door locks are adjusted so that there is no movement on the door/catches when the doors are shut. 👍🏼
