Just finished the assembly of this full roof rack by Leitner Designs. Allows you to still use your safari windows. If you are curious take a look at this video.

I think it could be converted to a 3/4 rack given the longer piece is about 67". The only downside is the price difference between the 3/4 and full is large. I have build 6 3/4 racks and only one full length.I notice in the(excellent) video that the main side rails are in two pieces, joined together to make the full-length rack.
It sounds an odd question, but does that mean that a full-length rack could be assembled to form a 3/4-length rack with, obviously, some parts left over?
I am having real trouble deciding whether to geta full or 3/4 length rack. Most of the time the shorter rack would be fine but just occasionally a long one would be better. If the Leitner could be assembled either way it would be perfect.
A second question, which I emailed to Leitner Designs but have received absolutely no reply or even acknowledgement, does anyone know if there is a UK or EU agent or importer of these? Recent experience buying Grenadier goodies from the US suggests that it becomes excessively expensive due to the outrageous charges by the likes of UPS.
Do you happen to know the length of the side rails on a 3/4 rack? Are they about 67" too? Thanks.I think it could be converted to a 3/4 rack given the longer piece is about 67".
