I just had my vehicle serviced at the dealership after 6 weeks of ownership. It was a collection of things including: Software update that should have been done before delivery, sticking door handle, whistling HVAC (remains unfixed), plus picking up a couple of accessories.
Upon leaving, I noticed that the “2028 days past due service” alert was still present, which surprised me. I went back and asked. The service rep said that IA corp has asked all dealers to NOT reset service intervals until they understand and have a remedy for the problem. This contrasts some others’ experiences, I believe.
I assume this is because they don’t want to clear a legitimate service reminder as a side effect of clearing these erroneous ones. They have about 80 customers on a call down list for once IA figures out how they want to solve it.
So for now, more silly reminder despite just being in the service bay and getting a software update.
