A new one for me and wondering if anyone has had this and what the culprit was. The other day I arrived at my destination 3.5 hours from home and stopped at a store for some family time whisky. When I got back in and drove off within two miles I got a yellow triangle on the dash and the DIC message Cooling Fan Error (also yellow). There was no indicated change in the engine temperature as I drove for another 7 or so miles. I added a very small amount of coolant to the right side tank but probably 1/2-3/4 cup max so nothing dramatic. Drove it over the weekend and once the engine heated up (5 or so miles) the warning light would show up again.

Since it was not overheating I drove it home with no incident and the warning light showing up the whole way but engine right at the 194 mark and tranny at the normal 172 degrees.

Time for annual service so will have the dealer check it out but wondering if anyone has experienced this and what was the issue?

Cheers
