Hello, I’m in the process of installing Rock Slide Engineering steps and they came with small loop wires and instructions to connect to the battery on the passenger side (I have the dual battery system).

Q1: What is the process to disconnect the battery for this task? Can I disconnect one terminal at a time on the passages side only? The wire has a fuse that I removed for safety and I’ll place it back at the end.

Q2: what adapter do you recommend to get from the small loops to something that fits the battery connectors?

Thank you!

Suggest you connect to the Littlefuse busbar located to the rear of the battery for the +be. There are at least a couple of spare terminals.

Several ground points nearby to hook up the -ve.

You wouldn't need to disconnect the battery if you were careful.

You will need to replace the small connectors with some larger ones.

If you are not confident (and don't have a crimp tool) I would suggest you find someone to do it for you.
