Chuckle in Your Day! (AKA the joke thread)

I plan on a veggie and herb garden but it will need to be in a solid green house to protect it from the kangaroos, galahs, cockatoos, corellas, lizards, etc etc etc
Possums as well. I hate possums.
And lizards get stuck in mesh fences.

On occasion, yes, though it's a matter for States rather than the Federal Govt. In the outback licensed shooters are employed to keep numbers within limits set by "someone" in the bureaucracy...
All levels of Government are hopeless at wildlife management - there should be one body alone to manage and take accountability for shortcomings - otherwise, as they do now, one blames the other and nothing or the wrong things get done.
After 38 years of living where we had up to 100 visits to our yard per year by koalas, for the last 3 years we have had none. Reasons, despite my objections to clearing of Koala habitat it was allowed to go ahead because formal objections could not be lodged. Council excuse - allowed under State Government Development laws. State Government has never replied to my enquiries. Fed Govt - we are providing millions for a wildlife hospital which will benefit koalas. I asked the Federal Minister what use a hospital would be to koalas if they did not have habitat to live in. Strangely, they did give me an answer - I guess it’s too hard to figure out, or easily swayed voters are shallow thinkers!
So after millions of years, in one generation our Government(s) have wiped out koalas here and no-one wants to take accountability or attempt to repair the damage. 🤢🤮🤬
