Chuckle in Your Day! (AKA the joke thread)

I had a good laugh last night when a stupid reporter from some country, that will remain anonymous, said that his country was showing how much better than Australia they were, when competing on a level playing field, at the olympics.
Clearly not the views of the country or everyone in it, just the views of an uninformed moron.
I see it has since been removed.

While it is clear that many countries are more winter sport focussed, due to their climates, geography and history, there are a lot of countries that clearly need to encourage more sport.
To add some context with countries populations to select athletes from.
  1. CHINA - 1,425,671,352 yes that is 1.4 Billion.
  2. USA - 339,996,563
  3. Australia - 26,439,111
  4. France - 64,756,584
  5. Great Britain - 67,736,802
  6. Korea - 51,784,059
  7. Japan - 123,294,513
  8. Italy - 58,870,762
  9. Netherlands - 17,618,299
  10. Germany - 83,294,633
Traditionally medal tally is ranked in number of Golds, not total number of medals, but I have noticed some countries tend to pick whichever one puts them higher up the board.

You have to laugh at these types of morons, I only wish I had copied it at the time.
PS Netherlands must be pretty happy with their results.

To my mind these guys are the ones that should be celebrated - I’d guess the total investment into Olympic sport by all of these countries combined would be a 1/100th of that made by Australia let alone the USA or China, wh’s investment would make Australias look like pittance. Those athletes should be lifted to the rooftops.
