Christmas stocking filler.........

I've asked Santa for 1. A Contract from IA 2. A build date 3. A delivery date
Am I being greedy ....... what have you asked for ?
Good idea. I’m going to ask for contract to sign for Christmas. I’ve already got a build date of February and delivery of March/April. I’m not asking for as much as you so I hope Father Christmas can oblige 🤣🤣

Ditto

Prepare yourself, remember when you were very young, and your parents explained to you that Father Christmas didn't really exist, well...

I have asked for
  • world peace
  • Health for my family and friends
  • happiness for all children in the world

And then I changed my mind and asked for
  • some good fresh seafood
  • to win Lotto
  • a quick sale of my house for $3Million
Maybe I am confusing Santa with a Genie but as they are both mythical figures it doesn't matter.

I play already my whole life lotto, although I studied enough statistics to know that my chances to win are almost zero.
The most important word in my statement is "almost"

The best time of playing lotto are the days between the tipp and the drawing.
In this time you can spend the money with the knowledge that it might become reality 🍀

I’ll just settle for some news direct from IA.

I have been informed by my agent that my IG will be built in Jan but I still don’t have a contract.

I’m not worried but I am getting slightly impatient. I don’t really want my Feb/March handover to become a March/April.

My Christmas is ruined anyway as Eric has just dropped the bombshell that Santa Claus doesn’t exist !!!

This is a start on Christmas presents.
There are still a lot to be added and the dolls house has to be wrapped somehow.
My 12 & 13 year old grandsons are past Santa but my nearly 2 year old granddaughter and niece will be having their first real Christmas
So Santa lives on for another 8-10 years I guess
Then there may be more grandchildren to follow

Christmas in summer still is funny for Europeans, although I spend several Christmases in South-America ... and I am not sure I will ever be able to spend that day together with all my children and grand children as two of them are living in different countries  - anyway , nice celebration, whatever anyone's religion :-)

It can still be cold in some parts of Australia and has even snowed on Christmas day.
My son and his family are driving for about 10 hours on 23rd December to get here
Then on 27th December we all drive north for another 4+ north hours to our holiday house
2nd of January we all head back south

that's not a dolls house, that's a wendy house!

good to see your taste for big things is hereditary

I only do this occasionally, maybe once or twice a year. Just to get the "maybe I won?" feeling until next Saturday.

Some years ago, there were 10 Million Euros in the jackpot. So I bought a full tip sheet for 20 Euros and went home to tell my wife. We decided to open a bottle of sparkling wine and think about what we will do with the money.

Me: "If I win, I'll give you half of the money".
Her: "Oh, that's fine. So we both have 5 millions then?"
Me: "Exactly."
Her: "What will you do with your money?"
Me: "I'll buy an airplane, a Quest Kodiak."
Her: "What does it cost?"
Me: "Around 2.2 Millions."
Her: "How many propellers does it have?".
Me: "You mean engines?"
Her: "Ok, engines."
Me: "One."
Her: "But aren't two engines safer than one?"
Me: "Yes, that's right."
Her: "What does an airplane with two propellers cost?"
Me: "Engines."
Her: "Ok, engines."
Me: "Around 5 millions".
Pause. 🤔
Her: "Oh shit, then it's going to be tight again."

🙃 🥳

...

My Italian mechanic is an astonishingly philosophical guy. He once said: "Playing the lottery is buying hope".

He was right.
