Has anyone experienced an electronic "buzzing" type noise from the cargo area of the vehicle? When I place my ear against the floor of the cargo area, it sounds like it’s coming from the area right around the passenger side rear tire. It’s lasts about 10 seconds, stops for one second and begins again. It’s not very loud, but noticeable when driving. The sound only occurs when the engine is on.

That would be the drivers side on RHD vehicles, so wouldn't that be the fuel pump?

Yes, drivers side for RHD vehicles. Why would the fuel pump make a buzzing noise? Is that normal for the Grenadier?

There are several evaporative system components, solenoids and associated piping, etc… mounted under the cargo floor between the two chassis rails next to the large crossmember on the petrol models. Entirely possible you are hearing the components cycling and going about their normal business. Perhaps a hose routing is touching the floor transmitting some vibration noises so check for that.

Interestingly, on my particular vehicle shortly after taking delivery, I had noticed a dull thud noise from under the cargo area flooring when going over bumps. I traced it back to the three bolts which hold the charcoal canister (red circle in attached image) in place which were only finger tight. This allowed the canister to bounce up and down in its mount which was making the thud as the canister has some mass to it. I snugged them up and the the thumping disappeared. I guess those weren’t properly tightened during production?

Kind of pain to track it down but sometimes a simple visual inspection is all it takes to find a strange noise.
