This might have been asked before, but I couldn’t find it. And what I have found seems wrong.

Does BTC ( or some form) still work in Lo range ? Either with centre diff locked or unlocked or with off road mode selected? ( front and rear not engaged either) I’m sure i have seen somewhere that it dosent work in Lo range, but seems a bit weird.

Do you mean downhill assist? Or are you talking about ABS? Downhill assist will work in low range and of course no diff locked.

Edited as I originally said must be in off road mode but realized, I made mistake after reading the manual again.

Was using downhill assist yesterday.
Off road mode on.
DHA on
No centre diff engaged.
3 speeds available via cruise control + & - buttons 5mph down to 3mph.

Traction control is part of ESC on the Grenadier. Works in low range, reduced when center diff is locked or in off road mode, disabled when front and/or rear diffs are locked. From the manual:

I'm assuming David B is referring to each wheel being momentarily braked to provide traction when a wheel(s) loses traction. I know ESC is affected when centre is locked, whether it is fully off or just diminished not certain. Is ESC sane as BTC ie ABS linked.

Yes, ESC/BTC is implemented via the ABS system but I would think the parameters are determined by software.

Everything is off once you start locking front or rear diffs as per @TahoeGren's attachment above.
