Battery drained - Now error messages!

Got a flat battery, jump started it and got the following errors in the below photos. Also getting Airbag Error, ABS and ESC off messages.

The front and rear diff switches are also flashing orange.

Anyone have a remedy for this? Can it still be driven to speed up the charging process?

Where are you? I'd charge it externally to at least 50% and then use an OBD tool to clear what codes you can.
Airbag error will have to be fixed by a dealer.

Mine did same over Christmas camping. I drove no worries.
Did have to go to dealer to clear air bag. The rest cleared up with charge and restarting.
The cause was opening and closings doors all day. I now just leave adjar while camping. Seems to be working fine now with Engle draw fridge in back.

For newbies to this occurrence , Íf it goes completely flat, let the jump start battery feed some electrons in over 5-10 minutes at least before trying to start.

If your battery dies, all idiot lights can be cleared except for the airbag?…add that to Lynne’s List.

I don’t kill my battery often enough to notice but I don’t recall this ever being a problem on other vehicles i’ve had. Am I missing something?

Does this same thing apply if I disconnect the cables/power to do electrical work on the truck? Same difference, right?

I would disconnect a battery terminal and charge the battery. When you have a reasonable charge in the battery, reconnect and the lights will have gone with the likely exception of the airbag.

Maybe Rok Dr would know if there's an issue with my plan. I'm thinking of putting a secondary contractor between the batteries, where I can activate the coil with an unused overhead switch or a dash button, so I can manually connect the batteries for instant jump and winching. Any reason the "system" would see this and loose its frigging mind?

Same thing happens on the new defender opening and closing doors too often. Computer booting up draws a decent amount of power. Stupid system. I wonder if leaving the small boot door ajar is enough?

The IG software is has a mind of its own. I have seen the battery SOC drop from 90% to 0% momentarily then back up on previous occasions, so I don't think it was actually at zero. Took the car for a spin and got the battery back to 74%. Diff switch lights stopped flashing and their warning lights went away as I started driving. When it got over 60% battery warning lights went away, and at over 70% so did the orange check engine light. The only warning still remaining was the Airbag light. Hopefully the system has self booted now that the car has sat overnight but sounds like it's something for the dealer by your accounts.

I have the auxiliary battery in mine and the main battery has dropped to 0% many times with my fridge, phones and dash cam left on with PWR switch on.
Usually takes a couple or 3 days of no use.
Always starts, but flashes battery low in red, then amber until over 50% charged.

What we need is an OBD reader that can check the airbag sensors and so on, letting us know if there is an actual fault (most people who want to stay alive would want that information) - or not. The latter situation being clearable.

I’ve run into this before — when your battery goes completely flat and you jump start it, a bunch of error messages like ABS, ESC, and airbag can pop up because the systems didn’t get stable voltage during boot-up. Sometimes they clear out after a proper full charge or short drive, but if the battery is weak or not holding charge, the errors can keep coming back.


You can usually drive it to help recharge the battery, but only if the car is running smoothly and brakes/steering feel normal. If the diff lights are flashing orange, I’d be cautious — might be better to get it properly checked.

Might save you a lot of hassle if the battery needs replacing anyway.
