Anyoone experienced weird dashes and zeroes instead of the odometer reading?

Has happened several times on mine and eventually corrects itself

Yup, restarting the whole headunit while driving will make the ODO read that way, until vehicle restart.
Unfortunately, it is still counting the miles/kms as you drive.

Yeah, I filled up leaving Florida driving to Boone NC. My bluetooth connection for Android auto was disconnecting every few minutes and then reconnecting. I did the hard reset while on I-95 and drove the 500 miles with the 0-0-0-0 hoping that it was a secret magical gift.
It was not.

It’s fine, the car knows that the majority of owners are above average intelligence and every now and again gives you the miles in binary.

It just keeps you on your toes

I did a reset of the head unit in while driving in hopes it would help reset the HVAC to cold (instead of the dreaded molten lava and cool weirdness). It did not, but I did get the weird -0-0-0-0 odometer, and it has stayed that way for 3 days now (driving every day to work). Seems odd…

I’ve had that a few times but non of them lasted three days though. On the negative side it’ll be difficult to know when to service the vehicle but may help the resale value when you come to sell it.

Unfortunately even though it displays all zeros, it is still counting up mileage.
