I’ve just been told this service will cost $2,000.
This seems ridiculous to me and I service/maintain all our other vehicles so can I do this without voiding the remaining warranty?
I understand that this may be region specific and therefore may not be easy to answer 🤷🏼‍♂️
Cheers

Maybe check what the cost would be if you do the basics, such an engine oil and filter change, air filter, hvac filter, brake pads etc.

What I found interesting was that the cost first quoted at $1300 for a petrol was quickly revised up when they saw it was a diesel!
$700 more !
They are getting back to me on what is included so I’ll report back and do some other pricing.
Shitake doesn’t need any diff oil as both seals were replaced not so long ago! 🤣

This is the Diesel ROW service schedule that applies to your vehicle. It was sent to me by Ineos Customer Service last November so I'll assume it is current.
The 3 year/45k service gets a fuel filter otherwise it is the same inspections as the earlier services. Hard to justify why the diesel is +NZ$700. Be interested to see what your dealer provides.
I'm getting the same service done on 13 May but I haven't asked for a quote.

Thanks for the guide, and it’s relevant to point out that these are NZ Pesos I’m talking about! (Sadly we are pretty weak here at this time)
Equates to €500 and £950 and about $1150 USD

I'm stockpiling a few of your pesos for a NZ trip in November and December while the AU/NZ exchange rate has tipped more in my favour.

If we like what we see we're thinking about buying some land in NZ. Perhaps that longish island on the southern side of the Cook Strait? ;)

Queensland here. 30,000km done in February. Just a fraction over $900 with me supplying the engine oil.

it would also be worth clarifying whether they are quoting on a 30K km 2 year service or the 45K km 3 year service. The 30K km 2 year service also has brake fluid, air andcabin filter replacement.

Cheers

A fortuitous topic! I’ve got mine booked in next week for its first service at 13500kms on my 24 B58. I’ve been quoted the same amount @ $1300.00 down here in Christchurch At Armstrong dealership/service centre. Once it’s been done, I’ll do a screen shot of the invoice and post it on this discussion for scrutiny 🤓.
Whilst on topic, any recommendations regarding specific updates and warranty inspections/ replacements, that I should be requesting while it’s in for its service? The problem I’ve found with being in NZ is the time it takes to get replacement parts from Belgium. When I first picked the beast up, it was missing the puzzle socket for the wheel locknuts. Armstrongs accepted this as a warranty claim, but had no spares in the country. They ordered a full new set of lock nuts c/w puzzle socket, which took 3 months to get here from Belgium. So there’s an element of anxiety on the basis if any major problems arise requiring any substantial parts, I’ll be out of action for an unacceptable period of time.
Cheers

Well I’ve decided to go with a very experienced local Euro mechanic with extensive BMW experience. Service will now cost $1300, so same as the B58 Petrol vehicle.
I hasten to add that I’m opting for OEM parts which includes the fuel filter and water seperator and they alone make up $500 of the total cost! 😳
Crazy but my guy recommends using OEM whilst under warranty so I’m taking his advice!
