Welcome 2026! Started my 2024 TrialMaster this morning. 15k miles on it had the service done months ago at the dealership. Started this morning with a “service overdue 1917d”??? Also won’t connect to Grendier hot spot for Apple car play. Do we have a 2026 software glitch?

Yes, it’s a software glitch which Ineos have acknowledged. They are in the process of fixing it . Mine said 2045 days overdue 🤣

Wow - glad you posted that - I got the same alert (mine says 1976d) - I called my dealer and they gave me a vague answer about needing an oil change - I had already scheduled one with an independent BMW mechanic for this Friday (it’s been about 5500 miles since my last dealer service)

Would love to know if the local BMW dealer can reset. My Ineos is 8hour round trip.

No - I just didn’t want to drive the 2 1/2 hrs to my dealer for the oil change. They can’t reset any alerts or service intervals - they don’t have access to the system

There's a 29 page, 561 post thread already running on this issue:

Dealer called said they can't fix it anyway..... lol dang

One ‘nice’ side effect of the New Year service past due bug is that it preempted the loud startup bong warning you service is due far into the future. As it happened, I had a regular scheduled maintenance service yesterday and they reset both warnings. So far so good. The New Year glitch is just hidden, not fixed, but all is peaceful again.

I suspect this will get fixed much quicker than the ADAS fix. Why? Because in the USA all changes to the ADAS have to be reviewed by NHTSA. Things like a service counter do not.
