Because government says you cannot have the old days these days. Why even put that on a vehicle for the USA ?
Like with any other car manufacturer or big lift/tyres tyres. The camera on windscreen for ADAS should ideally be recalibrated otherwise you may get inaccurate readings. If you purchase a 2026 with the new ADAS system, how does that affect any modifications like a lift and larger tires?
What a complete pain in the @rse.Like with any other car manufacturer or big lift/tyres tyres. The camera on windscreen for ADAS should ideally be recalibrated otherwise you may get inaccurate readings.
Also our windscreens are a lot cheaper and easier to fix than non adas. I have a modern Audi with the ADAS and I actually think it’s dangerous when it drags your steering wheel when you change lanes before indicating. What a complete pain in the @rse.
2023 models rule, so we have cr@p heating, at least we don't have the nanny systems. Heating can be fixed, eventually![]()
Scared the life out of me on a courtesy vehicle, I was about to turn round and take it back saying there was a problem with it until I realised what it was. Absolutely stupid on UK A roads. Read the IAM manual and it recommends crossing the centre lines as a point of safer driving at relevant situations, you wouldn't be indicating to do so and would therefore be dragged backAlso our windscreens are a lot cheaper and easier to fix than non adas. Sadly the kids of today think the vehicle interior is for entertainment rather than paying attention to their driving. If a person needs these kind of systems to drive, then they shouldn’t be on the road.
But they have no choice, if you don't apply the mandatory electronics then you can't sell them, it would be like deciding to do away with the indicators and using hand signals to save on the chance of a bulb going, they aren't allowed to do it. It's very sad, and not what lots of us wanted but the reality is you cannot sell a vehicle for the road if it does not comply with regulationsPossibly true. However, I thought the whole point with Ineos was to build a car that was purposeful, able to modify, off-road capable, hose it out, and with less intrusions. Seems like they are going backwards.
