Just passed 16k on my Grenny. I wasn't putting many miles on it, but then we bought a place up in the mountians. Only 110 miles each way, but it adds up getting everything set up. It also is a really interesting ride. While only 110 miles, the first third is city into I70- which is under construction and a 3k foot net climb. Sometimes it is 80mph, sometimes it is stop and go- either way. Then you go into getting over Berthod Pass over 6% on both sides, 55 rock slide areas, 10 switch backs, 11,300 foot crest- and more idiotic Texans than you can shake a stick at. Luckily, it is 2 up one down for lanes, so you can get around slow people on the uphill. Then it is fairly benign roads for the last third- but with a lot of large wildlife and drunk drivers. And finally some dirt roads and what my snow plow guy said is the third hardest driveway to plow in the county. I have ZERO issues staying alert on the drive.

The Gren definately handles the altitude well. I don't notice any loss in power going up and down the pass. It has more power than I can use due to the twists- or is that more that it doesn't corner like an X5? If I want to be fastest up and down the pass, I can be- and have been.

So what I'm saying is that while it isn't rock climbing or fording streams- it's a hard drive on the mechanicals. Luckily it has been a really easy winter. Looking forward to the trails around here when the snow melts.

Overall, after 16k, I've been lucky and happy. No major issues.
-Brakes squeak more than they should
-The steering sounds so bad I tell people it is the AUX turbine
-Has a "Squeak!" when going over speed bumps
-Had door seals that held water and some sticking door buttons, both fixed
-3D printed a start/stop stopper

Overall, I've been really happy with it. I'm not looking to make it into rock climber, more overlanding in the day trip kind of way since I have a nice mountain cabin to stay in. I look at it as the ultimate in 'get there' technology- it's not the fun, it's what gets me to the fun- and back- everytime.

Done some mods, looking to do some more. Got a rear door table and and ARB compressor to install. Mainly limited by garage height.

The power is amazing even at high elevation! I love romping around up above Evergreen. Owning the Gren makes me REALLY want to get a Supra with the same engine/trans combo.

I couldn't imagine buying a Supra with a diesel engine, oops, sorry, I forgot, you can't have the diesel over there 😅
After getting over the look of my Grenadier when first laying eyes on it, my friend was more impressed with it having the BMW 3.0 engine, even though it's the diesel.

Sounds an amazing place to get to.
Don't forget to post your pictures up there with your Grenadier.
