I am about to buy a late 2023 station wagon with some really nice extras. I was wondering what are the real differences between a 2023 and 2025 model. I was told the reversing camera display is a little smaller on the 2023 version but what about more important differences????

My understanding is that 2023 cannot be software updated to newest version.

This was what a dealer told me when I asked about adding trailer controller.

There is a change with the display unit and processor that makes not all updates retrospective - look for a 2024 or later. (Mine's a 2023).

(From the manual and parts list, there is an upgrade path, replace bits for the more recent, but it is unproven and likely to be very costly. Something to dream of in 10+ years time and I can find an abandoned/wrecked Gren to part out).

I have an MY23. Have driven the MY24 and 25 as loaner vehicles during service works and tbh other than minor cosmetic differences like the rear camera size and the menu position when apple CarPlay is active there was nothing obvious. I have a fully loaded MY23 diesel trialmaster with dual batteries, dual lockers, safari windows and almost all options except the winch. Love it. Wouldn’t change it for a new one.
