You thought about trying out that raptor coating stuff ? I know that 24/7 4wd YouTube channels uses them but then they are also sponsored by them from time to time

Slightly off topic here but has anyone fitted the tow bar aftermarket , as STC has quoted 1300 + vat to have it fitted , is this a standard price

Much cheaper than a full factory spec add on, I quote twice that. Dentons do it for around £900 I believe

Yeah, the parts alone to us cost more than £1500. That includes everything from paying for the coding to the wiring loom, hitch, adaptor etc. The only issue with aftermarket is having the parking sensors active until manually switched. I can see that being worth the £1000 savings

That's ridiculous, the price there quoting doesn't sound that bad after all . I'll end up getting a towbar fitted , shame it didn't come with one

I've sat and worked out all the pricing again. It's been a few months, now that the Grenadiers come with trailer modules (usually retrofit as part of a recall), I could likely fit a genuine one for about £1400+vat. As long as there's already a module there

How do you know if you have a module?

In the drivers side rear area of the load space, there is a little plastic cover that pops up. Behind it is the trailer module - like in this picture

I've got the Bison brackets there, having a look will be for another day. Not taking any more stuff out the back, I've emptied it back there as it's going to a garage to get some work done🤔

Hopefully some nice additions as opposed to a forced garage visit? Perhaps the wonderful technician there may offer some guidance and take a look for you? I've heard good things :ROFLMAO:

You never know with some of these shadey back street garages, can they be trusted not to use your vehicle for a joy ride🤣🤣

Years ago my dad had his new car written off by it being taken for a joy ride, ended up on its roof if I remember rightly.

I've heard some tales being in the trade.

I was once subject to local gossip by a well known.... tale teller(?). I apparently crashed his V-Class "AMG Twin Turbo" (his words not mine), which of course, isn't a thing. Costing fortunes in damages, almost writing his van off etc etc. I heard this whilst getting my motorcycle MOT'd at a local garage.

What actually happened was, I opened his tailgate on the MOT ramp, went to get the hand lamp to inspect the rear seatbelts, turned around and the tyre supplier reversed his van straight into the open tailgate. It did some twisting damage, but none to the effect as he told.

This was a good few years ago, I still hear of it from time to time

That used to be my initial costing, I am sure Ineos have adjusted some prices since. It was the same for the drivers side grab handle retrofit, I used to charge around £399 due to the parts, now it's half that
