Did your detailer ceramic coat your windscreen by any chance? So its just not getting done before purchase? This would be my only time seeing this on any of my rides. Sadly when I had the car prepped for PPF they also did the windows with clay bar and paint but I still ran into that issue.
I've had about 4 different coatings applied to help resolve the skipping nothing worked....Did your detailer ceramic coat your windscreen by any chance?
There is your problem. Take off the coatings using a clay bar, autoglym window polish and put a new set of wipers on. In my opinion, coatings make it worse.I've had about 4 different coatings applied to help resolve the skipping nothing worked....
did this too, that was the first step. There is your problem. Take off the coatings using a clay bar, autoglym window polish and put a new set of wipers on. In my opinion, coatings make it worse.
I give up. Buy a new cardid this too, that was the first step.
lol yeah right, they are actually talking about putting my blades back to OEM and if it still exist replace the windshield itself. Soo I'll way on that first, or if it becomes a lemon over silly stuff.I give up. Buy a new car![]()
This. I was dubious at first but they work a treat.I've had good luck with the Michelin blades from Costco. They wipe well, no chatter, no streaking. Cheap enough to change out every 6 mo.
The dealer will bend the arms to increase pressure. I'd consider bending the arms in and remeasure. I like that you took the time to measure in the first place. I will try to remember to check mine in the next day or two. The dealer bent mine a month or so ago and it helped a lot. And moving to traditional frame Bosch blades made an even bigger improvement. I don't believe in the mono blade style when it comes to flat windshields. They are always a bit light in the middle.I channeled my inner Project Farm today and used a force meter to check the wiper arm pressure. I compared the Grenadier against a 2024 Bronco. Both sides of the Bronco came in at 2.2 lbs of force to lift the wiper off the windshield. It was 1.3 lbs per side on the Grenadier. I've seen assist springs and may give those a try.
