Slightly odd one this. My Grenadier is 3 years old and has done 19,000 miles.
Intermittent whine at speed, only when vehicle is warm. Only happens with a little bit of right lock on, doesn’t matter if on the throttle, steady or off the gas. Braking makes no difference. Doesn’t always happen, sometimes it will do it at manoeuvring speed, sometimes it will do it at 60mph.
Pad looks OK, brakes feel fine. No feel of metal on metal, no vibration, no undue heat (though I haven’t used the temp probe), no smell.
I wondered at first if it was a stone in the brake disc but if so it’s not obvious.
Any suggestions? Wheel bearing maybe but it’s not a grinding or clicking and it’s only done 19k - I’d expect bearings to a lot longer than that.
