What oil do/would you use in a pinch when BMW spec isn’t available

I just got the warning light that the engine is a liter low on oil driving home tonight. I have my 24k mi oil change scheduled for next Thursday, but have an Offroad event tomorrow and don’t really want to wheel it hard when I know I’m low on oil.

autoZone and Advanced don’t sell anything to the bmw LL-17 specs. I ended up going with Mobil 1 ESP2 0w20, which was the only European spec oil I could get in 0w20 and is approved for Mercedes, VW, and Porsche on the label.

hopefully it doesn’t blow up on me, but since I know I’m going for the oil change in a few days, I’m not overly concerned, but if there’s something better in a pinch that’s readily available, I’d like to know.

According to this table taken from BMW ISTI the B58 can use older spec oils like LL-12FE or LL-04 but in the USA LL-17FE is required for legal purposes, which I read as emissions related.
Note the different spec compatibility depending on the fitment of a PPF. I'm unaware what the configuration is for NA delivered vehicles so you'll still need to do a bit of research. -12FE and -04 are both still ok for PPF.

The various enclosures noted are lists of oil brands sold in the EU that meet the specs so best just to search for oils sold in the USA that meet the older specs and viscosity.
