Very annoying fan noise from level 4

Hello everyone,
my Grenadier was once again at the service partner. The gearbox is leaking and the air conditioning is still a joke. The topic of the heating is already discussed in another thread, so that is not my point here.

Starting from fan level four, I get an almost unbearable high-pitched whirring noise. Up to level three the fans sound like normal fans. From level four onwards, an additional shrill whirring appears.

After asking the service partner to resolve the issue, I received the following answer:

“Dear Sir,
I wanted to inform you that your vehicle is ready for pickup. The heating is working again and regarding the whirring noise from the blower, this is normal. We also have customer vehicles where it whirrs on level 4 and INEOS confirmed that this is completely normal. It comes from the blower and does not indicate a defect.
Please note that our new service and sales location is in Germering in Industriestraße. The Baierbrunn location is no longer an INEOS Grenadier site.

I have had this whirring noise since day one and it seems the service partner is unable to fix it. The statement that this is normal and that other vehicles have it as well is new to me.

I would now like to know your opinion: do you also have this noise at level 4? Is it really “normal”?
That is hard for me to believe, because in all vehicles I have owned so far, this would have been anything but normal.

I have the noise at level 4. Very high pitched and annoying. But I don't use heat much, only cooling. Mine is a very early edition. It doesn't do it unless it's a very hot day and the car had been totally in the sun. I got the same answer from service agent.
Thankfully it doesn't happen often

Same. I'm one of the blessed few with an MY23 and a fully functioning HVAC including auto mode. In auto the fan rarely spins up to 4 but it's got the same high pitch squeal.

mine is from August 2023 as well. In winter times in Germany i really need level 4 to get the car somehow warm and defog the front window.

Ahhhh Munich, wonderful town. Augustiner-Keller, Hirschgarten or Viktualienmarkt on a sunny day, paradise. No joy on fan setting 4, two and a bit years on and I still get the high pitched whine. First rule of Grenadier ownership, don’t use fan setting 4. Second rule of Grenadier ownership, don’t use Auto.

I get same noise.

What I've gathered there's "normal" and then there's "INEOS normal." The former is true, the latter is suspect.
