Turning Audiosystem without Ignition on?

Yes, did exactly that on Sunday eating fish and chips in the vehicle. Interesting it didn't shut off after 10 minutes, so I don't know what the auto shift off time is - 1 hour??

For the infotainment system to turn off, I open the door and close it if I’m sitting in the car and it turns off in a few minutes.

Ah, I remember now, it didn't auto shut off because I turned it off for a few seconds so I didn't hear the Giro result. So when I turned it back on I reset the 10 minute auto shut off function.

Back to your question, I'm not aware of a way to power the entertainment system without the key. It can be done with the aftermarket system but that is significant investment.

If you are in the vehicle, ie unlocked, but without the key you can turn on the audio. UK spec version

After a while it won't let you, totally powered down

After a while it won't let you, totally power I thought you just had to press the audio mute button on again. Auto audio shutting down after 10 minutes has been in all my vehicles, but all restarted after manually turning it back on.

I thought you could restart auto shut down after 10 minutes by just pressing the audio mute button again, as per all my other vehicles. I'm sure I've had to do that in the Grenadier. One way to find out, I'll try it.
