I recently discovered a small crack on my car’s windshield and am considering getting it repaired or replaced.

I’m a bit overwhelmed by all the options, including OEM versus aftermarket glass, different types of coatings, and varying warranties.

I’m also concerned about finding a shop that does high quality work without overcharging.

Has anyone had experience with auto glass replacement that they would recommend?

I would try the repair route first.

If the rock chip is smaller than the size of a quarter you should consider windshield repair. You will still see it some. It will be about 50 percent less visible after repair but will not crack out. This preserves the factory sealed windshield.
