Hey y'all,

so I imagine theres more than a few people here who are experienced in the 3D printing hobby, Im thinking about getting into it as a way to support all of the different things my wife and I are into. She's pro photographer but spends a lot of time gardening and doing other things around the house, I dabble in HAM radio and a few other things but my full time "job" is YouTube / music and we're both avid cyclists, plus I imagine theres a lot of use cases for the Grenadier. Im looking at the Bambu Lab P1S, it seems to be the goldilocks zone of printers but Id love to know if theres other comparable options out there. I should mention Im not super interested in getting deep into the "open source" world of 3D printing, I already have plenty of things that require a lot of fiddling and attention, I want a printer that I can un-box, setup and go with minimal hassle.

Thanks!

I've thought about it for ages. However my house(s) are full of things I have bought but seldom use. Everything from quad bikes to fancy camera kit to drones......and loads more.....

Sorry, went a bit off piste there (yes, I have loads of ski stuff too,)

Bambu P1S would be a great choice.

If you go in thinking about it as a hobby, not an investment, then you won't be disappointed. Most folks underestimate the time it takes to get good results from a variety of print tasks, and even more so they underestimate the time it takes to learn any 3D design software that will enable them to print their own ideas. Both can be done, but it takes many hours. It can be very rewarding as a hobby, very frustrating as a way to save money.
