The IG's steering cliché compared to the Defender

Newbie of forum, I searched for the following question, finding just only similat threads.
Watching a quantity of Youtube video on the Grenadier, I found almost always the cliché that the steering is fuzzy with a considerable play (it's funny that in Italian "steering play" is absolutely identical: gioco di sterzo). Many of you have already and reasonably stated that the majority of the youtuber/journalists tester com from roadcar testing, so I ask if one of the forum member with an experience in Defender has driven a Grenadier and compared its steering with a Defender steering (worm&roller). I had many test in the Grenadier passenger seat, so I'm noto able - altough I have a long experience of Defenders - to make that comparation. I drive the Defender daily on the road a on highways and I needn't a 'particular skill' to negotiate a corner. It is not as do the same in my Porsche 964 turbo, but that's obvious. Can any of you tell me if the Grenadier should be so worse if compared to a Defender steering? Defender turning circle is 12.8 m, do any of you know Grenadier turning circle?

The Grenadiers turning circle wil be around 13,5 meter.
I came to the off road test drive in my Defender and in my opinion the steering on gravel roads up to 60 km/h in the Grenadier is superior to the one in my 20 year old Defender. Unfortunately that is not a real helpful comparison I think.
 
My limited eperience was a 20 minute off road drive at an Ineos event in Bridgeport, TX. Speeds were under 20mph. I thought the steering was excellent thru flat, up and down (steep terrain). Having drove a Defender a long time ago, and comparing it to the Grenadier now may not be fair due to loss of memory cells, however, it seemed to me that the steering on the Grenadier was better. As to a new Defender I cannot answer that.

Same experience here, steering was perfectly fine and only felt 'soft' to me. As in it does not get much feedback from the movement through the suspensive, bumps and knocks etc - and im totally fine with that. My old ranger the wheel will rip back against you when traversing/changing suspension angle etc (at least by comparison).
 
I’ve owned a defender and a G, And tested the Gren yesterday...and I‘d just describe it as the same. It’s adequate to the task. It’s definitely a live axle truck. It felt assisted. I wasn’t expecting much different. I would think the only time you’d be able to notice a shortcoming if there is one, would be at 85+ and here in the US they haven’t road demonstrated yet. (That’s where the G developed some death wobble when old)
