We took delivery of the Fieldmaster last Thursday, on Monday travelling at speed (60mph) suddenly the steering went soft and the car veered dramatically to the left , emergency stop onto hard shoulder of motorway and jumped out to find a big burning smell coming from the car . AA pick up and vehicle back to the dealer , so far no word of what's wrong ...........has anyone else experienced this ?

Be very interesting to know the cause. Sounds like an awful situation that led to the car being collected by the AA.

That’s not good. Had a couple of steering issues here in the forum but none sounded quite like that.

I want to see a follow up post. I am always a doubting Thomas, especially after the first post is a moan and no follow up. However, more than happy to be corrected.........

Considering the initial post was just a few hours ago and now @graemejs is dealing without having a vehicle, plus whatever else in life now has to be dealt with because of not having the truck, maybe give him some time on that.
